Today: Sonic Youth
July 4, 2008 – 1:05 amThe Sonics are doing a wildly special free 4th of July concert in Battery Park. Tix were distributed a couple of weeks ago but they unleashed a small amount which can be collected this morning beginning at 9 near the Castle Clinton National Monument. Showtime is 3:30.

Did you get to go to that show? I see the Flickr pics on the sidebar. Lucky f*ck if you got to see that show… Last time I saw SY was when they toured with Neil Young and Social Distortion back in the 90’s. SY are one of the best bands I ever saw live besides My Bloody Valentine and Antiseen.
Ah well, Radiohead is coming to Jersey City in August !!!!
